In 2016, the Training and Education Subcommittee created a mentoring program for all professionals working in problem-solving courts to help educate and support new team members and for current team members to further develop their problem-solving skillset. Mentoring is a committed learning partnership between two individuals who share a similar interest in creating healthy individuals and families through problem-solving courts. This program was designed to provide for a safe and supportive environment for PSC team members to ask questions, get advice on challenging issues, and receive support and encouragement from someone who was experienced in their role within the PSC community.
In 2018, the PSC Professional Team Member Mentoring Program partnered with the Colorado Supreme Court's Attorney Mentoring Program to help expand the services and support for attorneys and professionals working in the problem-solving court field in managing their mentoring relationships.
