The Colorado Coordinating Council on Restorative Justice was created on March 29, 2007 upon the signing of House Bill 07-1129. The statute enumerated several items of responsibility for the Council, which include, to the extent that resources permit:
- To serve as a central repository for information;
- To support the development of RJ programs;
- To assist with education and training; and
- To provide technical assistance as needed.
The State Restorative Justice Council advances restorative justice principles and practices throughout Colorado by providing gateways to information, networking and support.
